Climber's With Artificial Joints

One capsule a day with at least 1200mg is the recommended dose, but I take 2 a day. The bottle says up to 6 day . Just make sure the source is from the smallest fish like anchovy, sardines and only a little from the larger fish like salmon. The large fish can have some concentration of mercury.
I just got home from a 3 week vacation and thought I'd add to this fish oil topic, so hoping this might help members here to avoid artificial joints.
While on holidays I brought capsule form for convenience. But at home I use liquid form of one of the best oils you can buy. Now that I have the bottle in front of me I can tell you it's called Genestra Brands Super EFA Liquid, formula # NPN 80006800. Made in the UK.
Each teaspoon [5ml] contains 4,560 mg of anchovy and sardine oil [no salmon] It has orange oil added to it and takes away the fishy taste nicely and cut the grease in your mouth.

I get this oil from my wife's sister Mary Anne and her husband Jason who are naturopathic doctors and own Nature Doctors in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They also have 6 doctors working for them.
They are the naturopathic doctors for the NHL professional hockey team the Winnipeg Jets.

So you can trust that I'm on a good product.

Ten years ago, when I was a miserable and suicidal Ironworker, I got drunk and crashed a motorcycle. The doctor who put my right knee back together told me he didn't know if I'd be able to walk right, and that I would definitely need an artificial knee by the time I was 40. About nine months later, I got into treework, and my depression was gone practically overnight, and spurring Firs and double-footlocking Maples has rehabilitated my knee to about 97%. I'm 40 now, and not (currently) even remotely in need of a transplant. I attribute the whole business to the grace of God, and the trees He has blessed us all with.

Just took some fish oil of my wife's after reading all you guys rant about it.

To help joints I take EPA-DHA from Metagenics. I feel a difference when I run out of a bottle and forget to order right away. http://www.metagenics.com/products/a-z-products-list/EPA-DHA-Complex
My sister inlaw sells Metagenics and her husband Jason Bachewich puts workshops on for Metagenics all over North America. A very good product they make is a formula they call Joint Focus with different minerals and the EPA-DHA for joint care.

I don't take too much capsule form though, only when I travel for convenience. I don't like my body digesting and processing all that gelatin that the capsule is made of.

That recipe works well for glueing wood together, generally known as hide glue, and with the other ingredients included.

Exactly Holman!

Just remember guys that the gelatin like substance is all made up from the good stuff that our bodies need - cartilage, bones and tendons.

They sell cartilage here with chicken meat still attached, small trimmings I guess. Fry up real quick with a little s and p, and yummy. You might check at your butcher about such offerings. Don't chew on your fingers.

So what's wrong with gelatin?

Well maybe it's just me, I did a little google search on properties of gelatin capsules and my head was swimming with "plasticizers", "polymers" for example. Plus some concern was to cut costs some companies were buying empty gelatin capsule shells from China. So who knows what you're getting.

I feel better taking a supplement that I have trust in whether its fish oil, resveratrol, vit C ,D in plain form....... without the extra baggage of who knows what.
