Location
God's country, North Coast
Our time in Big Sur was well spent. Terri and I was on the move for 4 days straight. Driving up and down the coastline and catching the ever-changing light. I hit many of these locations several times during our stay, and it was always different. Not much in the way of good atmospheric phenomena though. I would have liked to catch these scenes with a little bit of clouds or fog hugging the coastline. But hopefully next visit will be better in that respect.

The image of the lighthouse is north of Santa Cruz. Pigeon Point. The rest are all Big Sur.

We hiked in the redwoods too and I'll post another thread about all that. Really different country in so many respects.

Nice. Big Sur was my first experience of California, after my arrival in San Fransisco.Vivid memories even though it was a decade ago

Jerry, only a true North coast dweller could complain about the lack of fog and clouds:lol:

Brings back some memories, thanks. I don't recall too many calm days with the sea around there. I believe that lighthouse is a famous point, called "Steamer Lane". Known to surfers throughout the world.

Did you happen to stop at any of the Big Sur inns along the way for a bite to eat? Hopefully there are still some cool places out that way. The Esalen institute has the hot springs as well. A rare area that is.
