I got mine Sunday, and wow, they are great!!! I've gone through the whole first disc, most of the second, and looked through the third. My favorite had to be the chainsaw and the cuts section. Seeing all the different cuts and how they are performed for real, with a climbers eye, really helped me to understand the cuts, and what they do.

I tell you what I like the most aboout these dvds is it's like Survivor Man. Live, actual video not always perfect and shows what could go wrong along with the right way.Like so many vids I've watched in the past by Arbormaster or NAA, everything is staged to be perfect, when in reality we know thats not the way things go all the time.

Knowing two sides of the work is very important to the person watching these dvds and Gerry always depicts that. If they always see the glorified portion of tree work, a newer climber will think its seems easy and end up jepardizing himself, someone or something.

I had a lady call me from Hawaii yesterday about training.Knowing that I couldn't help her because of the distance, I refered her to two items. Gerry's dvds and Tree Climbers Companion. She's a beginner climber and getting in over her head in a hurry.

Gerry, ecellent job as usual. :D

I stayed up late watching the first disc last night. Excellent, top notch stuff Gerry. Very well done. There's not many out there who have the knowledge, know how to teach that knowledge, know how arrange it for a video, know how to shoot and edit, and narrate that video.

Many thanks Gerry.

Thanks, Leon, Greg. I'm glad to receive some good reviews from the experienced climbers out there.

Well, all from the Tree House of course. Good or bad you don't hear any talk of the Series at the Buzz. I imagine citing reasons for using controversial techniques is a little too risque over there.

I'm almost through the 5th disc (of 6) and I especially appreciate the realistic approach you've taken without the use of 'absolute rules' that few climbers adhere to anyway. You explain some of those 'controversial' techniques giving both the reasons for and severe shortcomings of using them. Because we all know that abstinence preachings just don't work. It's nice to know exactly what you're getting into when using some of those techniques instead of just being blindly told "NO".

I'm speaking mostly about the one handing of the climbing saw, but there are others as well.

The Working Climber Series is not politically correct by any stretch of ISA, Z133, or OSHA standards, but, as Brian says, "It cites reasons why a climber would do things instead of just "NO"

As it was in the early years of my instruction to new young climbers.

I'm proud to say after forty some years they are all still working an doing well.

My guys were so excited to get theirs! They have been waiting for it to come out and were surprised to get it this early...I told them The TreeHouse had the hook up! Thanks Mr. Beranek!
