Darin, maybe your guys don't have a vested interest in tree work. Maybe its just a way to get paid to them.

For me, tree work was pretty much the only way to break out of a cycle of poverty.

"The best hunting dog in the world usually cannot out run a rabbit. The rabbit is running for it's life, the dog for it's dinner".

I would play more video games if any of them were about tree work.

Heck the first videos were awesome, anyone who doesn't appreciate them doesn't have a vested interest in treework.

Jerry, you need to up your price man. You've earned this knowledge with a lifetime of experience, don't give it away.:)

Soothing voice? Your right Terry. I fall to sleep every time I watch Gerry's vids. Takes me weeks to get through them.... just kiiding ya.

I finished series one about two weeks ago and am halfway through watching series two. There's no doubt in my mind that my climbing and working has improved in the last few weeks from the videos alone. As a novice climber, the videos are a great way to see how to handle situations before facing them in real life. Two thumbs up from me.

Tommy, you can get series two from Reg Coates over there. Least after next Tuesday anyway. UPS said that's when the package should arrive. Reg will be selling them through Tree Worker.

Last night my son and I watched The Dirty Dozen and then the first hour or so of the new Working Climber Series. We both liked Working Climber better. He liked it so much he kept getting up to stand right in front of the tv and would stand there with wide eyes saying "whoa" over and over. Afterwards, he wouldn't go to bed unless he could have his toy chainsaw in bed with him. I think we got a winner!

I just got my copies in the mail. I'm looking forward to watching them and then sharing them with some local tree guys. Thanks Jerry. :D

Cool deal. I'm a third of the way through the second disc and I'm truly impressed at the thoroughness and simplicity of the instruction. All the stuff it took me 20 years to learn all presented in a compact, complete form for new climbers in a couple hours. It makes me want to go out and find new climbers so I can show them all the stuff in these videos.
:)

Thanks, Brian.

The goal of the Working Climber series is to inform the novice of the challenges and dangers they are up against and to illustrate the variety of techniques and methods the experienced climber uses to overcome each in a safe and sane manor.

I hope the Series fulfills that goal.

My son Finn is loving it. Every night he gets to pick out his own movie to watch, and the last 3 nights he picked out yours Gerry. I hope the batteries on his toy chainsaw wear out soon! :|:
