There has to be some damn good advice in this thread...but I just can't seem to find it .

Keep tuning in to this here thread and you will eventually find the answers you seek.............

OK Mr. Rhborist, we had high winds today and the Bradford Pear in the front yard split in half. My wife loves the shade in the front yard and is going to be unhappy about this!
Can I put up some stakes, run some cables to the stakes, maybe drill a couple holes for all-thread with nuts and plates, then duct tape the whole thing together and "graft it" so it will continue to grow?

A customer just asked me this one (really) and I didn't quite know what to say to him, so I thought I'd get some advice from the best. "I just bought some 2.2 mm Zing-it throwline to lower branches with because it is strong (600 lbs) and light weight (1 oz per 100 ft). But it keeps breaking every single time I use it, even though the branches weigh only 400-500 lbs. What knot should I used to connect the ends back together so I can finish the job before I return this defective line and get my money back?"

Remember it's always about keeping the ladies happy. Do what you gotta do to make that happen.

Good advice, Dennis. I've always thought that you had to measure how long a chainsaw has been in use, by seeing how far the muffler is from falling off.
