I wonder if Mt Fuji is ever going to blow it's top again. There are still rumblings down deep.
A few years aoe had a serious catastrophe on another mountain here that erupted. It caught a bunch of hikers by surprise, around ten dead or something. No lava but very hot violent smoke suddenly spewed out. Some folks were never found. The organization that is supposed to monitor such things and give warning before it happens caught hell. Akin to asleep on the job apparently.
