2 more fatalities locally, work safe people!

I'd be curious to hear from anyone that has been falling trees for a number of years and has never had an experience that they now consider as having been very dangerous.. Hell of a profession where it takes that to better understand the rules. Luck is a good friend. I can't think of too many others where that goes.
 
I believe you can never learn from your mistakes always. At the end of a long day dogged tired your head is not screwed on right and mistakes can happen easily.
Last night for example at 10PM after a long day and dumping my chip box at the landfill in cottage country. I was backing up my dump trailer in the dark in a bit of a rush. I could plainly see my trailer in the side mirror but forgetting the ground was a little muddy....I jack knifed the trailer and bent up my pickup's rear bumper pretty good and put a baseball sized dent in the fender.

I learned this lesson a few years ago to backup slow doing the same thing, and here I am again.
