Classic. I had a high end GC recently ask if our day rate was “around $200/day?” Yes sir, that’ll cover my 4 employees and 100k of equipment sitting at your lot clear!

Either way, sorry to hear of the troubles. Shit grenading about makes my head explode.

This is none of my biz Stephen, so take it with a grain... but with the amount you guys book out, would the down time and maintenance be eased by investing in new equipment? A single large payment monthly could alleviate shit tons of headaches. I only ask because I'm in the same boat and...

I think I may have the same Perkins or similar in my Stephen, pretty sure it's a 4.236 no turbo. Last time I had fuel issues it ended up being the solenoid on the injection pump. May be worth testing...

Always sucks to lose a client, especially a gravy one, but on the show rolls. When I started 4 years ago I was terrified to ruffle any feathers or disappoint. Now I'm like, frig em, next.

Finally got my chipper back... Was in the shop for 3 weeks! Older model 150XP, but low hours. Mechanic dragged their feet, was pretty pissed and now way behind... Oh well, back to the grind, better than stacking brush in truck/trailer!

Play the game Stephen, only costs about 200 bucks to get your Certified Forester through SAF. Get that on lock and your free game on all that dead. Would probably give you a nice jump on the competition. I plan on getting mine this spring for future project work.

    How'd it go today?

Finished our second day of wind damage mitigation, trees down everywhere. Pulled a lot of trees off houses. Mostly standard ops for storm damage. Limb, rig, cut top, hang whole tree/stem, lower, repeat. Some fun/sketchy uprooted trees. All went perfectly, everyone went home safe and made some $$!

I was super bummed, but truth to that! Not attached, would certainly have been unpleasant. No saw lanyards for me! Nice Stephen, way to blow off work. Always seems to work out well that way for some reason!

The snow shovel is clutch... Used it when I chipped into the f-250. Clear a little bed space with the pitch fork, then undermine and toss with the snow shovel. Listening to Slayer or Iron Maiden, I could offload 5-6 yards in under 15 mins.

Sent another Certified Arborist buddy and my ground out by themselves for the first time today... Little nervous, but they're solid. They worked like mad for 11 hours today, bringing in over my target hourly, so that was rad. 10 Barrel Swill beer waiting for them when they rolled up. frig this...

    How'd it go today?

Finished a large crane job this morning. Large, 120ft. Pondo, behind house, in the deck. Was about 52" for ~16 feet, then split into co-dom stems, easily 28-30". Craned another 100 footer in front, much more quick. Their driveway looked like a logging site. Went smooth other than the crane being...

Craned out three 80' cottonwoods, subbing for a buddy today. Two climbers in the tree made quick rigging/cuts. Sore now.

    How'd it go today?

Yep, haven't done a hog like that in a while... Took about two hours in tree, then fell a ~30 foot spar. Nope, wind was going pretty hard, so the huge limbs had some travel away from the base... Lost my hoodie in the mess though, boo. I know, I've noticed since I've been running my own show that...
