The Official Work Pictures Thread

Nice trim job Deva, very satisfying to not 'butcher' them and yet give the client what he wanted, and keep the city happy.

Gotta love Monday:D

And since you're here we wanna go ahead with the entire quote and deadwood the rest of these cottenweeds. Been raking this unmowed lawn for 3&1/2 hours. :X

I had a cool boss years ago that used to sell jobs with no raking, he gave a good discount and we whooped when we heard no raking today boys!

Raking usually takes longer than the takedown and chipping. That's a big plus of crane work, less raking, smaller clean up area.

I have a KombiSystem, with a string trimmer attachment.

I've thought of saying, the shorter the grass, the better the cleanup possible.

Manitex 22101 22 ton, 101' main boom.

Easy least. I forgot how fast and easy cranes make it.

Small work area, so it was useful to brush out first.

Hiring my friend with kboom to take to the local bandsaw Miller tomorrow.
Homeowner will get a slab for a table to be made by her sister.

Cranes rock. Too bad you could not do the whole tree that way. I get why. I often strip them first just to get the crane in and out and less to worry about with the inexperienced guys. Not that I have a lot of crane time. Just that I hate wild cards. ;)

Some of my fodder from a rainy day at work. This one lost a top on one of the twin stems in a storm recent. Dead better part of two years. That top (in one of the pictures) jumped clear over the water tank and well house and landed in the oak on the other side. Crazy lucky.
One stem, leans over the property line 180* out from my desired lay.
climbed up and set a pull line in the front stem and then bound the two together 3 places. Low cut for good wood and low to the codom. double cut with the ol 66 and the 36 bar.
A 2:1 pull and some serious wedge pounding under each stem and over she went with coaxing right before I doubled up. Nasty bugger.

Rented this yesterday. It worked pretty well. Took down about 20 ash trees and ground 13 stumps. Back at the same job today to drop about 15 more trees and clean up the grindings. It's on 10:17 And ten of the trees are already down, but the last few need ropes and I only have one guy with me who is tied up on the mini skid. 20170417_163027.jpg
