does bay laurel wrap up in any of y'all 's chipper feed wheels
i'm chipping 2/10 a mi of brush a day, and it is always the 1 to clog the chipper

i hate climbing my 210 lb azz up some tall skinny soda can thickness laurel top, and still having 20' above me, to spear out
i do like to fall em and kick stand em down to the ground though

can you run it through brush first? we do that sometimes if stuff is wrapping up in the feed wheels

overlapping is good also. we do alot of weeping willow and that seems to work good for us. chip normal till it looks like its going to be an issue then feed it backwards. seems to be a certain time of year maybe that the willow is a problem, ill have to watch for that

So far I have lucked out. Only had to dead wood a reallllllllllly big one. And take down realllllllly small ones I could just drop. As for chipping, well the shreader end of the machine is a lil rough so I can see where a feed wheel could have issues. Mostly we burn the shat!

Timberwolf TW-5.

Think what you like though, no sweat off my brow. Don't know why you think I'd need to lie about something like that.

I'm not the one waving a gun without a shirt on. I have nothing to prove.

That's a gun? I just though he had a really big index finger.:/:

A buddy of mine has a TW splitter with a four way, can split a lot of wood if it's already been chunked up.

Yeah maybe with a four way splitter and thrown into a pile.
And he be splitting nice 18 inch dia rounds.
Still a good cord in 45 mins is pushing it.
If you say so :\:

I thought you were saying by hand.

Oh also why would i be implying i have something to prove because im pointing a 9 mill without a shirt on ?
I meen , how could i prove anything by that?

And anyways. 45 minutes I'd be real interested to see what I could do by hand with a nice pile of rounds sitting there just splitting and tossing it aside. I'd be real interested. Frig man a cord is a cord is a cord it ain't that much wood.

Y'all need to chill out, or I'm gonna pop a cap in someone!

Whould u all agree that 12 bucks is cheap labor for splitting a rick ?
A rick is half a cord
Well now that just depends on where you are .Here a rick and a face cord are the same .A face being 4 by 8 by 16 inchs ,or 1/3 cord .

Now that hydraulic splitter deal .With help I can get about a full chord an hour with my homemade splitter and it's just a regular wedge, not 4 way . By myself maybe about half that but I don't stay at it that long .Split wood ,drink coffee ,play on the puter .blah ,blah . With a 4 way you should be a tad faster .

I need to take you guys some pics of the fellows i asked if anyone could do this.
These old hillbillies do nothing but bust wood year round and they all said no way can he bust a cord in 45 mins.
The head honcho said you couldnt even do it with a four way by your self.
I told umm what all yall had said just to see if it was doable since they split so much wood. They all called BS , so its not just me ill ask them what their version of a cord is.

A cord is 4x4x8 so if their version is different it's not a cord.:P

Tell 'em to put down the shine and get to splitting!:D

I call complete BS on any of you boys who think you can split a cord by hand or with your 4 way splitter. (((But if you can do it id like to see it))) and so would alot of other wood busters round here.
Fact is you can bust a rick or a cord by hand a good deal faster.
And yo we call a cord 4 by 4 by 8.
Bring it on Newfie.

Well there probabley some some tough old hillbillys ,can't argue that fact .How some ever have you ever seen a Timberwolf splitter ?

These are the absolute Cadillac of wood splitters ,5 or 6 inch cylinder ,hydraulicly ajustable wedge ,you name .it will do it ,costly as the dickens .At least twice the price of most splitters .

Now tough or not tough I'd like to see the bad ass that can out split my homemade splitter attacking the stuff in the second picture .:|:

That looks pretty sweet Al. I've been thinking of making one to mount on the 3-point on my John Deere. It looks like it has a little ram to raise and lower the wedge.

What's dark yammering about now?

He's calling you out! Get splitting!!! I'd consider having a hippy speedball and timing myself by hand but it wouldn't prove anything anyways unless someone reliable was here to witness it. Who's up?
