At this point the full 15 or so acres along our southern flank and on eastward beyond our southeast corner are completely cleared of all trees. There were about a dozen piles of trees, limbs and assorted slash scattered across the open ground, some of which are larger than our house. So far, he has burned a couple of the piles and partially burned a couple more. When the burning was active, the smoke and fallout was heavy, but fairly short-lived. Most of the ground except for the piles has been disced with a large ag tractor and disc rig he got from somewhere.

It does sound like the plan is for planting Christmas trees...one of the kidlets confirmed that in conversation over the fence as she and her sibs walked up their driveway from the school bus.

We can see a few small house lights up there after dark; that's a new bother but pretty minor overall. Can easily see garage, barn, and house in daytime if you want to look; that's new for sure. He's left a few mature trees around the house and barn, so far.

Definitely we are getting more sun through our edge trees than has been the norm for this time of year. That's not all bad now, but as I noted before, come warm weather it may be less pleasant.

That's the current situation. Not as bad as it might be, in general.
What can you do?

Know that many families will make many lifelong memories around those harvested trees.

Yes, like in heavy handed retaliation.:headbang:
Nicely done show by the way.
They just moved it. How would they know M&B don’t throw down on the Yule Tide light display responsible for roving blackouts throughout the PNW? They were in the woods, nobody could see the Griswald like glowing orb that is the casa de B.

First thing I would concerned with neighbors is k8nda Everything !
I do have neighbors . Used to have other neighbors . One family with 9 kids . All extremely healthy , over the top energied , country kids . And husband, father and wife , mother . They had 6 or 7 already when we bought our place . Quite conservative so no wild parties . However , very strong supporters of their 2nd Ammendmant right . Very freely exercised as the 2 oldest became teenagers . They pretty much view us as interlopers . However , this is Interior , Alaska And I have a plow truck ;#) . My l9ts are long and narrow . Just under an acre each . And they adjoin. The east face of the subdivision butts up to a 2,00 acre Barley field with a platted gravel road . It drifts Shut by December . There is a winter , dirt road that weaves through the subdivision and exits on the west side . On a substantial platted gravel road that is maintained to a greater or lesser extent by , not me . It's 1 kilometed from my house to that road via the winter road .
I have a rule with plowing snow . I plow everyone out , every time I plow . At least to their property . At no charge to anyone .
PEACE in the subdivision .
We have Livestock Guardian Dogs . And weve rescued other dogs . Guess what that means !
Plus we leash walk our dogs at least 3 miles 5 days a week . I try to be done with the night walks by 11:30 pm . 365 days a year . Coldest I've done the night walks is -65° F ambient .
I have a bandsaw mill that I run sometimes . A ctl with a nice loud backup alarm . And ofcourse hopped up powersaws with gutted mufflers .
I very seldom shoot on my place . Which is Very different for me . My big male dog was traumatized when a young pup by a druggy with a gun that shot his mom . Right in front of the pups when they were 2 weeks old . He doesnt like loud noises so I keep the gunfure to a minimum .
We have other neighbors . Some have dogs .
Many leave in the dead of winter . Then it's like we live out in the wilderness .
We all try to get along . Friendly , but neighbors . Cordial when ever possible , even when nearly impossible .
Partiers are overtly frowned upon and long runs of extreme cold tends to run them off . Or they get thrown in prison .
We all work hard at all our varied endevours . And try to help each other out whenever possible .
It takes a ton of work to live free ;<)

Edit function isnt working .
2,000 acre Barley field
The 11 souls neighbors viewed us as interlopers .
They gave since bought a place much closer to town on grid power and public maintained roads and streets .
It Really blows hard here on a regular basis .
Having ag fields on 3 sides of our subdivision is GREAT for minimizing neighbors as the ag land is under ag covenants .
Being our local news paper is very aptly named The Delta Wind . The drifting in the winters is a major force to be delt with .

My neighborhood was pretty quiet until some guys moved in with a bunch of crappy low rider trucks. I mean, I like lowriders, some of their trucks are cool I guess but some have no mufflers and are annoying beyond comprehension. What is the point of attracting so much attention?! (Especially if you are an 'undocumented' immigrant...) I don't get it.

I hope things have settled for you, Burnham. I don't envy the potential pesticide exposure.

We’re ok here, mostly older people in our hamlet (15 or so houses) so pretty quiet.
Over the years we’ve had issues with dogs barking all day and night, but those people have moved away thank god.
Theres been a few flare ups, but everyone is an adult and a quick ‘hello’ when walking the dog oils the wheels.

Overall I'm pretty lucky with neighbors tho I'm definitely not a fan that one next door has his property regularly poisoned by low wage workers using back pack blowers presumably to suppress ticks I suppose. Our property is similarly composed of lawn and woods and we rarely have any tick issues, including prior to his pesticide campaign. The company that does it is named "Mosquito Joe" which I also find annoying not to mention that historically we have few mosquitoes here. Smh.
