Completely honest approach:
"Hi, I'd like to rent your motorhome..."
"Sure thing, where are you going with it?"
Oh I'm going to burning man, where i may likely "experiment" with illicit drugs, indulge heavily in alcoholic beverages, and hopefully get down with some wild sex acts that may or may not be even legal in the states
Anything other than that exact exchange would be a lie for just about everyone.....

Not sure of any facts......but I heard someone say BM tickets went on sale and were sold out in 5 minutes or some such thing.

A couple years ago my dad said he was invited to accompany some folks to Burning Man. I think he was age 90 that year, and he was over that way on one of his business trips. Said the environment felt about as safe and friendly as anything he's encountered in recent years, traveling the west coast states and parts of Mexico.
