Where are you guys getting your plastic mats like Alturna mats, and what kind are you getting? I'd like to get one 4x8' mat. My idea is to use it as part of the roof on my chipbox, and be able to remove it if I am on grass and want to load the chipper with brush with the mini.

Last week I picked up 8 more sheets of 3/4" plywood. I spent $140 and they will last me through the end of the year at least. I know the mats are nice, but they are just so stupid expensive that they fall into the 'luxury' category.

I think Biffy was getting his from a local company in NC.

Track mats were down to 160 each awhile ago.....they are worth it. They take far more torture then plywoodd.

I would not use them for your roof Brendon, they weigh 80lbs each

And full time sun will just break them down quicker. I keep mine at the shop untill I need them. Bought them from a well driller in Woodburn,OR

I get 15/32" plywood for $9 a sheet. The odd time I need it makes it economical, but I eventually plan to get mats.

I figure my "vote Andy for Mayor" signs, 3/8" plywood, should work quite well for the mini for a while:D
