The Official Work Pictures Thread

Well, we don't have 'em here so they are exotics to me.:D

Probably like sweet gums...all over the place here, I hate them. I read awhile back about a guy in Cali that was all excited because he had just planted one and couldn't wait to get his first sweet gum ball from it...idjit.

Sounds reasonable. Something called sweet gum......yep, I am gonna chew on it.

Tight space on that gum Griff

Love those pictures or your apprentice Stig. Sure makes you smile when they do good eh? Great stuff.

Sam, nice hinge man

Good stuff all around

liquid ambar

Yep...that's it...sounds like a wonderful tree. Sounds like drinking nectar of the gods.

Looks great in Google images. They are awful. Grow huge (for around here), shed thousands of spiked balls (don't go barefoot with them around), tops break out pretty regularly. PITA trees.

Where are you at geographically Gary?
Funny cause I don't mind them so much, usually makes an interesting climb.
Like you said though,a bit weak at times, when im cutting them i get whiffs that reminds me of the smell of nail polish/remover can't remember which atm but I notice it every time, just think of nail polish or nail polish remover next time you are in one, let me kno if I'm just a tripper or not 😁

I wear a poly liner, too. Better, but still not warm enough for me on cold days. Developing Raynauds, and looking for a pair of quality warming gloves, if there is such a thing.

Bob, https://www.heatedwear.com/ this is in Olympia, allowing you to see stuff in person.

I wonder if arm sleeves would help at all. Sorta like a reverse-vest. Not trying to maximize core heat, but keep your arms maximally warm without overheating the core.

One of my guys uses the pocket hand warmers, they work decently and are cheap. And we use a propane tank with a heater head that works great and is cheap too. You've probably thought of these things but just in case you haven't.

Nice post, Sean

Are you saying the Heatedwear company is in Olympia? I couldn't find a location on their website.

Check this out. Call em.

Just the other day, 14* with clear skies, I was wondering where my hand warmer packs are located. I bought a bunch, but never use em. I know exactly where I had them last winter Before I moved to town. I can imagine using them possibly between a poly liner glove and Atlas gray glove, on the back of my hand.

Sure enough, they only were rated at 2.5 outta 5 stars.

Interesting toolbox placement!

Haha thanks! We were trying to figure out where we were going to keep some of our gear and it works great. I'm going to paint it when it gets a little warmer. The yellow on top is a bit of a eye sore.

DT is that a cable I see or a second line?

Sorry for the late reply. I've been swamped with moving into my new house and a night study group that runs M-W-F from 6:30-9pm, studying for my Ornamental and Turf supervisory license.

So we had the main line running into the GRCS, a secondary line that was butt tied to assist with the swing initially. It was transferred to the main line afterwards. The other line is our winch line. Helped pull it out of the other trees and over to the wood pile/ chipper. Worked out great.
