The Official Work Pictures Thread

Good pics.
I (like many others I suspect) had no conception of this sort of logging till I saw AX Men.
Now we all know how contrived a lot of that was, but we sort of got the bones of it, carriages, landing areas, shit weather, steep hillsides, anchor trees all that.

I would love to spend a few days on a site like that to get the feel of it, I am too old to ever actually run up the slopes or similar.
Anyway, good stuff, thanks.

The wood in the second pic looks basically identical to black walnut which we have alot of around here
Yes, it’s pretty and pretty valuable but hard to get decent wood out of. Gets lighter as it dries. Www.tulepeaktimber.com buys it from me sometimes, they make $$$ charcuterie boards, etc. out of it for rich folks.

Today was Monday, as usual, it was quite fun. Especially at the end of the year - New Year's Eve fever starts every year at the end of December! :) Everyone immediately wants to trim, trim, etc. Today I cut down 6 trees and pruned 13 pieces.

That's why I wear BDUs/ACUs virtually 100% of the time. They're cheap, reliably sized, and well made. I have ripped the crotch seam on a couple pair, but they were good and used by that point, and I only had to restitch the seam. The material was fine.
