The Official Work Pictures Thread

John and I did some “blow” downs. They blew down without much wind. Leaning red oak too close to a stream had root rot so it let go and sent a 100’ poplar into (2) 70’ polars and a 100’ beech. TIP was 120’ up another poplar as well as on the beech. Had to move the beech tie in 3 times so the poplar canopy could be pieced out without hitting my line. Scope was to get down and make safe as well as chip debris. Gave him a day rate. We’re going to do more next Sunday. Ended up taking some off the beech and removing the 2 smaller poplars as well per custy’s request. Bore cut and back trigger for the win. We’re whooped!

Very creative and innovative. :dude:

Do they care about the grass?

Btw, you don't chip, you stuff, true?

Check out the neighboring house on the left…. Affordability won on that job. 😂. There wasn’t much grass between the houses anyways.

I don’t chip. Those three fit in the 30 yard rolloff, but usually we haul tree debris in the grapple truck.

Sun's a drag. It makes everything harder. The flowers are pretty cool though, and I like the sun rise/set.

I could take most of those pieces at full reach over the side. The initial picks are over the blade where I'm quite stable. I'll potentially add ~1500lb of counterweight to the excavator, but so far it isn't a priority. The OEM additional counterweight is almost $6/lb, not doing that!

Pictures from my initial testing, here's ~1450lb at a ~33' radius over the side with no additional counterweight.

Same load over the front at ~40'.

I’m very busy in Maui and Oahu but live in Big Island…. Just started running again… day 2
That's awesome re running.

I can't be the only one...can you splain those locales? Are they separate isles? Or just different spots on the same isle? :|:

Would be nice to have a grapple on the end. Maybe make it out of aluminum or magnesium to save weight.
