Is that the wrench on dDrt, Sam?? I thought that I was the only one who did that.
I owe August, Reg and Angry Military Cory (YLTG?) a big huge apology for all of my anti-zipline sentiments.
Zipped this maple (that Andy is finishing up on) today--only way to do it really.... too many restrictions under the tree--and it went smooth as silk, and FAST. Man I'm a huge idiot!!
Ahh Jed, I was rocking wrench above my hitch for awhile, but that was just a 3:1 I set off the redirect. Not sure where the other leg of rope is, but it's somewhere.
Nothing special.. just a piggy... 4' DBH Incense cedar on a slope above the house. Lowered all the limbs and negative blocked the chunks down. That last chunk was a bit over 1000 lbs I stuck the 066 in for reference. Felled about 32' of stem up hill. Tad off on the lay I wanted. but alls well that lands well. You can see I nipped the hinge on one side. DOH!. SHe was 130' tall. Sad it all turned into firewood.
Great pics and some serious work going on out there. All I have is dead wooding an olive, HO clean up, Dropped a cherry and a stump grind, also HO clean up.
Here is some fodder from yesterdays TDs over a green house and garden. Limited access behind the house, but a gate big enough to fit the little chipper through
They used the chips for erosion control where line clearance trashed the back yard one of our contractors graded out after we helped clean it up.
Jason did great on his negative blocking. Pretty much his first fully rigged out tree over a delicate target..... Mike ran his ropes while I broke in our new guy Shane on a porty. Boy was that fun !!!
