Cory the abuse would be my bosses brother. That man should be a tester for equipment durability. He would never make it as an employee but since he is part owner he can't be fired.
You are a top climber, there are 8 million dead trees in your hood needing attention, you are booked till January.....I think you should upgrade your tractor, get that new branch manager thingy!! You know how it is, if one has the work, the equipment pays for itself no problemo
You just put a new motor in your mini, that'll make it quicker to sell
Yes!! You're killing it out there Stephen. Seriously high end stuff man! Expert.
Still on the park trees. Big hemlock slaughter planned for tomorrow.
Also got the pad laid for a new string of garages up at the Club, and all the new dry transformers are in for the big electrical upgrade. Busy times man, busy times.
Thanks guys. Nice thing has been climbing live trees and pruning them.... Soooooo tired of dead poles .....
Cory, we need two loaders and I will probably never sell the mini. It has it's niche. Tracks work where wheels don't. It fits great with the mill in that it can slide under the mill rails with a load or take on out better than most larger loaders. I really need to fix two trucks so I can tow around more kit too.
Down side of this job has been the hazard mitigation. Another company came in and did some felling. Trashed a bunch of oaks. Split and broken from being hit. Sketchy shit.
Here is the one I posted the video of. Split down the middle. Definitely barber chair material. Bound it all up and felled it by boring the hinge. Pulled it over with the big skid steer on the project. Shot a pull line through both leaders so it would help bind them together. That is the 066 with a 36 bar. Broke the 10k strap binder I had on it. You can see it fly in the video
Interesting stump... That's one of those: "Cut the face as deep as you can before you run out of guide-bar," cuts. I dun many of em myself. And then on the back it's like, "Dog around to the far-corner and cut up a bit, and then power back to the near corner, and then sweep a bit."... and then the dang thing goes before you can square it up. I done a ton of those.
Willie: Good to see the pics, brother... keep crankin em out.
Sam: Wow, man... you're a man of many labors. When's vaycay?
Here is one more pic from the milling that went on. The lower portion of a 1/2 dead tree turned out as millable. So Rob made a table slab. Tad bigger than 36" at the base opposite the union. Should make a Nice table.
