Man, I just thought of having Jim on the crew.
Imagine hearing him on the Sena all day, with that dry sense of humor.
That would sure make the day go nice.
Richard and I are both busted up right now. So we hired a really good contract climber for a large beech take down.
He had never used intercom before, so it was a big eye opener for him, to be able to bullshit with me all day while we waited for the ground crew to clear the hole.
It was a real windy day, a less experienced climber would have come out of the tree, and we could just chit chat with each other, no problem.
That would have been a mess of screaming and yelling, working in so tight quarters and wind without Sena.
Nice to watch a real top notch climber work ( European work climb champion) and he said he was enjoying working with a well trained, smooth ground crew.
Fairly easy tree, just big, we took some pieces out with the GRCS close to a ton in weight.
Finished early, made damned good money, maybe I should just start using contract climbers when I get old.
