The Official Work Pictures Thread

Inaccessible bigleaf maple tree. Whole lotta rotten. Dead central leader.

I was able to free-drop a lot, scaring small trees, with some self-lowering.

Climbed for 3.5 hours until my ground worker had to go, then stacked more on the pile, lit it, cleaned up all the downed brush.
Logs will be moved into the woods. Snag left. I can snake the mini through the woods. 20241205_155431.jpg 20241205_115752.jpg 20241205_140145.jpg 20241205_140111.jpg 20241205_164624.jpg

Fence at my back, little lean towards me. Thought about splitting the codoms, ended up going deep on the face figuring if it wanted to go it could and then I’d go left with the bigger stem. Only had a pouch of wedges. Wooden wedges did not stand up to the 6lb. I think a lesser axe would have bounced off the wedges a few times. Stems split apart on impact. Good sized stick. It was a spar two years ago, the limbs are regrowth. Probably woke up a quake sensor somewhere.

Swung a buncha leads in 3 hours of climbing.

Basically, natural-crotched a new 1/2" EK-12 (IIRC. From Wesspur) with a small POW.

All brush stacked in the burn pile in about half an hour at the end of the day.

A late start prevented the rest of the rigging of brush to the right. One big piece to go, from the farthest and highest location relative to the NC rigging point.

Miriam did some good flying big pieces in a low-risk situation. 20241209_152935.jpg

Max I am always impressed with your work. Also with the beautiful architecture of the buildings that you are blessed to have as a backdrop in the photos. The second picture of the church makes it appear to be glowing. Just to satisfy my curiosity, what Christian denomination is that church?

This is the Peter and Paul Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church. It glows because it is an artistic illumination. Many of our buildings and structures have artistic lighting -

Coffee break. It never hurts to drink hot coffee with hot crumpets. By the way, in Russia it is believed that the most delicious crumpets are only in St. Petersburg. Therefore, we can say that our crumpets are the best in the world! :)

Sir, that food item is properly called a Doughnut, or Donut here in the states. They have about a billion varieties, many are consumed by law enforcement. I'd like to try some from St. Petersburg, most of the food pics you post look delicious.
