I'm pretty sure the wood is mechanically raised above the level of the water, I would guess its teak or similar as teak is used for boat decks.

I'm not so sure, I used to swim in a pool with a moving floor. The floor floats, to adjust the depth it's winched down. I think that pool works the same way.

Mike is the first to admit that the earlier time in his life he was very messed up, but he is trying to put that behind him. I think a better choice of words would have served if he wants people to come to his show, but on the part of the announcer about the rape conviction, I think it was a very cheap shot, and the way he just dropped it into the beginning of the discussion. It's easy to see why Tyson got his hackles up.
