He has been resting and leaving it alone. We haven't had to use the cone for his head....yet. fingers crossed he heals well.

I'd use that cone. It won't take a second to rip those stitches, which usually start to itch when healing.

So how are these beasts doing. Riskybiz and Stig?

Sam is fine. Healed up well and doesn't miss his left ball at all

You didn't hook him up with some neuticles?

Quietly resting, it has taken a toll on him. Mentaly as well if he goes out he is jumpy and keeping his good eye on the gate next door.
His wound is starting to scab over and the stitches have all held.

I hope the neighboring dog owner is helping with the vet bill?

Still have not seen the Neigbor to inquire, animal control may have taken his dogs as I have seen hide nor hair. As to monies to cover our vet bill doubt that will happen. Blood from a stone as the saying goes. Animal control had been there twice in the past month and kept inquiring about their health and how malnurished the male is.
Don't believe he is starving them just his unfixed male is a roamer and never still.
