See how I did it?

The dogs are really enjoying the cold weather, we are having right now.
To them, nothing beats laying in the snow ,gnawing on a piece of dead cow.

Myself, I fail to see the attraction.

Going to the vet ... can be scary!

This is not my mutt so, I guess it's not official. But, my daughter sent me this pic and thought it was worth sharing:

Now that is one cool looking dog! I like the way his tongue matches the whites of his eyes and inner ears, rather color coordinated!

The dogs got a couple of big bones today.
That'll keep them busy for a while.

Wonder if they would have been happier if you made soup out of those bones and gave it to them? More fill up their tummies.

They eat the bones, Jay.
Here is a picture of what Sam's bone looked like the next day.
One end is completely gnawed off and eaten.
Dogs love to gnaw on stuff. It really gives their jaw muscles a workout, they get all mellow afterward, like you after a good bike ride.

Sam was so attached to that bone that he rumbled a bit when I came close.
So we had to work on " give Alpha male your bone" for a while.
He brings me the bone and I give it back to him and tell him he is a good dog , and we do that a few times.
I hate having to do that, because I have a hard time touching raw meat or bone.
Putting on a glove helps, though.
