The Joke/Funny Pic/Video Thread

Dump trailer too, I've only dropped the trailer/chipper once, but it seems weekly when I'm not involved with it getting hooked up, no matter how I explain to these guys they "forget or get distracted"

Might put locks on them so only I can unhook or hook trailers! FB_IMG_1698840712159.jpg

It amazes me how people don't take hooking up a trailer/equipment seriously. If that thing comes loose, it's a potential disaster. I was helping the boss trailer a post pounder, and he was gonna take off on a ~35 mile drive without it chained. Probably a 2k# machine. YOLO!

What is your training like?
What is your proficiency testing like, after training?

What is your procedural signage like? This could be a simple as a piece of paper tape to the dashboard and/ or a laminated card on the truck bumper.

I have marked shifter patterns and truck heights on dashboard as well as No Ladders on Truck under Carport.

Ezpz.

A one person job!! Always the driver's responsibility!!

1. Close and pin coupler, check for security of the slug.
2. Cross and secure chains with appropriate slack
3. Tongue jack fully up
4. Stow chocks
5. Secure load and check for loose strap tails and cargo

You're in for a world of hurt if you don't fix this major problem, now.
Once in 5 years is too much.

It's me and my dad mainly, one other guy sometimes, he taught me all this, I shouldn't have to teach him

The thing is, he doesn't read the reminders, neither does the other guy, hence why I make sure there's 2 people involved, we started checking and the issue went away

Training for anyone else doesn't exist, I never let people hook my trailers up

The 2 guys that aren't me know how to do it but forget and don't listen when I try and walk them through it, dad shuts me down any time I say anything about it, as soon as I buy the company out he will be pushing a pen and not doing anything critical

Vey funny except the whole “racist patriarchal America” part. Our measurements are pretty jacked up

That's not a serious post is it? After 5min, I'd be looking for a different tip/pattern. Pressure washed concrete looks like ass anyway.
