Some old Tom T. Hall, while we're waiting for Butch to show us his skillz.

Still got that purdy half-stack? C'mon... put your money where your mouth is. :P

Some Steve Martin. Yeah, the comedian.

Didn't Butch put some of his playing a million years ago? Some stuff with Doc? Maybe just my imagination.

Not that I recall. But it could be that old-person disease kicking in... what's it called?

We used to live a couple houses down from Michelle. Good kid.

A brother and sister harmony band I'm really digging.

It always gets me when they bend the note by taking the string out of tune and then get it back in. I'd surely mess that up.

I guess if you have good tuners, it's not too hard; never had a reason to try it.

A funny song sung by my neighbor Dave and his band. (Skwerl... this is the eccentric guy in the cabin across the street from ours.)

Guess I'll finish the bluegrass set with an old favorite; Dave "Stringbean" Akeman. His characteristic hat-flip at the end of his songs always cracked me up for some reason. He and his wife were killed in 1973 during a break-in at their home.

Never saw 'stringbean' before, what a character! Trousers are funny.

Tragic death of the couple.

Those are "Keith Tuners" invented by Bill Keith. They are set at predetermined high and low pitches and are adjustable so you just have to turn them and they go to the correct note when they stop.

When she was on her game:

I just found this one.
I've never heard Pearlman play Paganini's first violin concert before, I have Yehudi Menuhin's version in my car, great for driving.
But I actually like this better, it is cleaner, more stringent. I'll have to buy it.

One of the great voices of out time, and someone finally out that she should be singing Grieg's Peer Gynt.
Shouldn't have been so hard to figure out, since she is Norwegian.

The Norwegian chick was something else Stig. I wonder how Led Zeppelin looked in the morning? Till their hairdressers got a hold of them.
