Songs I Like

I like Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder.

They can FIRE 'Pig in a Pen'!
 
Any of you Yanks into contemporary British/European music? Do you listen to Radio that gives you what you want and expect, or that plays unexpected stuff?
 
I'm not a yank but will answer anyway.
My problem with the radio is not the music, but the goddamned disc jockeys.

Their constant " See me, see me, look how cool I am" chatter gets on my nerves.
So I only listen to the classical music channel, where you are told what plays and by whom and no more.

So I don't much get exposed to music that wasn't written a couple of centuries ago.
 
I listen to Sirius almost exclusively Jason, I'm burnt out on the cooperate media delivery system that radio, clear channel here, has become.
What I find I like, I put on my ipod or computer.
 
Stehanson will attest I don not have a radio in my truck.
I rarely listen to radio, nor do I have music channels on my TV. If I hear something I like, I put it in my computer for me to listen to at my leisure.
What I like is what I feel. If I can feel something and I relate to it in some way.. I like it. The older stuff I listen to I grew up with that was played on 4 tracks, 8 tracks and LP.
Sometimes I will go to a web site that have rooms people play music in or sing in. I listen. Often that or Katy is how I am introduced to different music.
 
The radio's good; 'specially if it's music that someone else likes.

I likes a bit of Riot Grrrrrrl. Bikini Kill were one of the better bands from that movement. But Huggy Bear had this awesome moment back in the early 90's.
