Singing Tree Rope Wrench Review.

Early on I decided (based on a few recommendations, but not much knowledge) to go with hitchhiker instead of rope wrench. Subsequently I have ignored many wrench discussions. Today I discovered this 22 year old treasure. Wow! Well written, informative, probably still as useful now, as when it was first posted.

I will add a little note.
In his first pictures, Cary, had his tending line from the rear of his saddle connected to the tether on the rope wrench.
A little item that eventually bit him in the ass literally. When he leaned back, it caused the devise to release the hitch. And down he went. IMGP8831.jpg

Was that the same incident described in this thread when he kicked out of his foot ascender?
