Another reason why I won't fly. Who wants to be jammed into a huge incubation tube with 200 other sniffling, sneezing, dripping people all jammed together with a closed air system?

A particular organism may explode in population but something always comes along to put a check on its growth, wether it be a lack of food and water, disease or something else.

In a large diverse population there are usually individuals who are either immune or not as susceptible to a particular disease. Evolution only occurs when some outside constraint is put upon a population.

It stunk, in my opinion.

If you look at how the Spanish flu spread in 1918, you'll find that nothing but total seclusion on a pacific island will keep you safe.
So don't stop kissing strangers because of the swine flu.

I thought I remember the Swine Flu from when I was younger, so I googled it. It was 1976....the vaccinations caused alot of problems and deaths. Big mess.

Sorry, but I don't consider New Zealand a remote pacific island.

My wife and I worked and travelled down there for ½ a year in 80 something.
Seemed pretty populated to me.

On the other hand; the only vegetarian food we could find for our new year celebration was Chicago deep pan pizza.
So I guess it's remote, all right!

Hey Jay ! In this stressfull time I hate to be , well , almost perverse .... how do they look ? ... I once had a tooth pulled where I thought one of the assistants looked kinda cute ....
