Regarding Covid

Ft. Bragg has a hospital. It's been on the verge of folding for the last 40 years.

Yet it seems every 5 years a new admin comes in and the old one retires with a golden parachute. Big bucks.

How's that work?

Seventh Day Adventist are running it now, trying to see if it'll make some money. If not they'll hand it over to the next operator. Whoever that may be.

About 60 beds. never ever filled up during covid. not even close.

We were spared, I guess.

Same here. Most of us are calling for an audit. They are asking for more money on another dedicated tax. Its a mess. We voted in a tax a few years back for them. State requires more modernization.
They need to consign we do not have the demographic populous that can support a full on hospital. Make it a clinic with triage and send them out like they already do.
Cant keep staff. Staff wants to unionize. It goes on and on Ger.

I swear, our hospital spends money faster than a democrat.

Like you said, there's not enough sick people in Ft. Bragg to pay for all the modernizing their doing. The books have been in the red since I moved to Ft. Bragg nearly 50 years ago. Despite millions in annual fund raisers and donations.

All the medicare and insurance claims to boot.

It all leaves me in wonder.
