Mr Sir,
Where are you in FL. In 1980 I was living in Indialantic Beach When one of the first launches went off. Now I was about 25 miles south of the cape, and the vibrations still woke me out of bed. Those launches are a real treat to watch.

This is a crane that is being used to build the new Bay Bridge between SF and Oakland. To the left is the Golden Gate Bridge and right behind the crane cable is Alcatraz.

The old one could fall apart in an earthquake. Have you been around there when you were in the Navy?

No, not since '77. How are they building it? Right alongside the old one? This is news to me.

The biq quake some years ago, some folks were killed on the Bay Bridge. Scary!

It's one of those projects that has gone so far over it's budget that it's ridicules. I don't know if it can pass up "the big dig" but they are a tryin'.

Here is another picture taken from the passengers side of Brian's pickup while crossing the Bay Bridge of downtown SF.
