Well, let's first figure out if it's your images or something else. Would you be willing to try something?

Start by scrolling up to one of the images already posted above. Right-click on the image and then click 'save as' and save it to your desktop (or someplace readily accessible so you can find it again). Then try posting a reply here and uploading that same picture again.

I wrote out some helpful hints on uploading pictures the other day in this thread:

Scroll down to post #7.

If you're running Windows XP then the absolute easiest image resizer is the Windows XP Powertoys image resizer.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx

If you're running Vista, they don't have that wonderful little program available but I've found the VSO image resizer to be almost as easy.
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/

I suggest you download one of those and see how easy it can be to make your images a reasonable size. On the VSO program I just use 600x800 as my default image size and they are small enough to upload easily but large enough to see clearly.

:wav: Skwerl, I read everything you wrote. Think I just figured it out. quite a process but I'll get used to it. Thanks so much for your time. I could have done it easily on windows but am getting used to my new Mac. I like it better than a PC. for most things but it does have its quirks.

Its like that all over here since a seasonal pond quit drying up every year. It was declared a wetlands by State and can't drain it now. Got a few Ash growing but most trees are dying. Been waiting till we are working here in town (this fall) to borrow bucket to take them down.

Another one from this storm.

Gord, check this out, a time lapse video from the Katkam over the burrard bridge in vancouver, the day of the lightning storm. WOW. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HNgk1pEHi_Q&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HNgk1pEHi_Q&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

the fireworks at the end are part of the symphony of fire, a yearly fireworks thing. oops, now known as the celebration of light

That's really cool Paul, I wish I had that guy's view.

I have some shots from a couple of years ago of the symphony of fire taken from the burrard street bridge that I should dig out.
