I have an appointment with an acupuncturist next Wednesday. The consult is free, and the treatments are $65 apiece and he thinks it will require 2 or 3 visits.

I'll be danged. :what:

I didn't keep at it enough to find out if it works. I mainly went at the behest of my wife who worries about my trembling hands.

FWIW, My massage therapist occassionally uses an electro-acu'puncture' (it is actually non invasive) gizmo on knotted muscles. Feels weird but it does bring a continuously spasming muscle into a relaxed condition in a couple of minutes so there is SOMETHING to all this stuff.

I hope so. I wanna kill the electric worms that constantly crawl under my skin.

Jon, I don't know - I've never been. I don't think so.

Keep us posted, MB. Thats something Jer should think about trying. We'll be anxious to hear how you do with it.

Have fun with that! I could see where it'd be almost relaxing, kinda like a masssage.

Good luck with that. I think its kinda like chiropractors; some are excellent, most are quacks just trying to get rich. The trick is to find one of the good ones.

I wonder what kind of schooling it takes to learn acupuncture ? Might be fun to know how to do it.
Evan-my-boy got gift certificates for Christmas for acupressure sessions, but we've yet to get him to the mall to do it. Me-no-likey-malls.

Well THAT right there should tell you something... REAL doctors don't set up shop in the mall.

Some "real" doctors pray with their patients too. :O What's your point?
