Buckingham has a new ascender coming out, but I can’t find any info regarding release date, price point etc. Anyone here heard about it or see it at the expo in November?

MRS/SRS, midline attachable, replaceable wear components. Looks like a winner, only issue I can see is the “bird” looks a little on the large side, to me, might be easier to collapse with an errant limb or branch. Looks like an improved or updated Akimbo.

It’s an Akimbo with a larger bird in my very humble opinion. I know on the Akimbo 2.0, the bird was supposed to be enlarged but I’ve had very little issues with the original size with getting gloves sucked in. I like its compactness. As others stated, more of a chance for accidental collapse.

I just found out about BUCK’s Throttle on the you tube, It looks like a few tubers got excited about it at TCIA 24. I’ve been wanting to go mechanical but am failing to find a device which adapts as well as my hitch climber & chicane (midline, SRT, tending MRS, smooth limb walking). I have two questions
1: does Throttle tend by pushing up from the bottom? -I like to extend my bridge & foot lock SRT for shorter rope ascents.
2: does Throttle tolerate sap like a zigzag or unicender?

Personally, I'm about as impressed with BUCK as I am when my toddler shows me a large turd in the toilet. You know they're just a little behind everyone else you hang out with. They've been round since the dawn of time, and have yet to drag their knuckles into the modern era. Their harnesses suck, their spur pads suck, and everything is massively overpriced. Same with weaver.

Apparently, Kaveman has woke up and chose violence this morning...
