Jerry,

You mentioned that you figured out how to upload HQ to YouTube...mine are usually not great quality...they look fine here but I have to downgrade the quality to make them manageable to upload.

Any pointers? Thanks.

they seem to upload a fairly high quality just fine, then you have to click the HQ button near the full screen button to watch high quality. That is my full and complete knowledge and understanding on the subject

Today I uploaded the Spiderman video...I usually render them at a reduced size to make uploading not take so long. Today I just sent the full 2 gig...it seemed to do OK if not shown on full screen.

I read a little about the recommended screen resolution but have not had time to puzzle it all out yet.

Often, when I try to watch videos at youtube, the playback is staggered and stops and starts. Does that mean that my connection speed is a slowpoke, or my computer is slow? Some vids work perfectly. Me no understand?

I just got back from Providence, Gary. So sorry for the late reply to your question.

In the beginning and due to file size constraints I compressed my mpeg 2 files into mpeg 4 files, and then uploaded to You Tube. The vids suffered in quality badly. Not until the last year or so they started accepting large files sizes and now I'm able to upload the full mpeg 2 video file,, and the results in quality are much better.

Now I'm going to update all the videos on my you tube page to high quality. It will take some time to do though.
