What's wrong with jeans?

They weigh something like 20 pounds when soaked with sweat... which around here right now, happens by about 10:30AM. I can't climb in jeans, I need loose like BDU pants or Arborwear climbing pants. They get wet too but don't bother me as much.

:) it has been nice the last week and should be continued this week, partly cloudy once in a while, mid 80's.

I stumbled on to my old mans antique handsaw today .Sanded the rust off and sharpened it .Then used it to lop the bottom branchs of a pine .

That thing is 34 inchs long and does okay I suppose although I much prefer a little chansaw for such stuff .

Well, after trimming two live oaks with the straight Natanoko I've come to the conclusion that curved cuts better than straight. However, I still like the Natanoko better for tripping a backcut and removing ivy. So, since I already had them, I figured I might as well experiment. I also attached it to my saddle with elastic for that 'lil bit of stretch. I think that is gonna work out kinda cool.

Pretty slick, Butch. Seems a bit bulky to have on the saddle every day, but have at it, bro.

Curved does cut better.

MB, the holes in the Zubat scabbard, I havent noticed them that I remember, is that a weight thing or is there another reason?

Maybe to let saw chips and tree crud fall out rather than pack it full. That can be a problem with Silky scabbards.

Paul, it's to allow sawdust to fall out. Mine packs up with sawdust as well, overspray from the chainsaw tends to fill up shirt pockets, pants cuffs, and anything else that can catch sawdust.

Cool, Dave. You're a singer? I wish I was, but I do play guitar. No instruments?

Zubat 330 used here. used to have a silky gomtaro but snapped quite a few blades. changed to zubat and never went back. curved cuts quicker.

Yeah Butch, I played several instruments & sang semi-pro for about 30 years and retired from stage three years ago. Just get together w/ friends to jam once in a while any more.

Curved Samurai (or any cheepo razor tooth) I use the handsaw on ALOT of cuts. Handsaw finishing small horizontal cuts so I can throw em' down.
