The only fish I ever had mounted was the 27", 10.5 lb bass I caught about 10 years ago. I got the name and number of this old country boy taxidermist who charged me $4 per inch ($112) and he did a really nice job. The only obvious shortcut he took was after he glued the cardboard reinforcement to the tail, he only spent about 8 seconds cutting out the tail fins. But his painting/ color work was excellent.
