close....... I did cut about 6 inches off the short end

Latch from a chipper chute. Lock and unlock so you can rotate the chute!

Only other thing I can think of is a latch for the tongue jack. My round bailer has something similar to that on the jack just not as long.

Was getting ready for bed and I thought of one other possible thing. Seems I remember a latch like that on some disc chippers to prevent the disc hood from being opened. If thats not it, then I'm all out of idea's and tired. But we did go out and watch the meteor shower. Saw probably 30 to 40 in about an hour....8)

It didn't come off of anything,it's homemade . I have no idea what the spring came from, too shiny for a valve spring .

Ding ding ding! The bandit 250 safety upgrade. Special latch to keep the disc shroud locking pin from opening accidentally if the cotter pin fell out. PM your address if you want the hat Dave

Whats the angle on the bed, looks a little less than 45*. 45* is good 52* is a lot better.
Looking good Willie, you will be painting before long....8)

Better than 45, gotta find my angle finder thingamajigger. Going to run it rust red for a bit in case I need to change something. I'll get that hat shipped out tomorow as it's a slow day

Is the bed reinforced where the piston attaches? It just looks like it could punch right through with some weight on it.

Having said that, I don't have the ability or knowledge to fab something like that myself.

Looks good.:)

1" steel eye welded to 1.5"x 2.5" tube .250 wall. I think it will be fine but we'll see. Had 500 pounds worth of buddies in the very front and it didn't grunt.

If Willie keeps it up we will make a mechanic of him yet .You've came a long way in a short while old son, keep it up .:D
