Very sad story, he shot himself. Two little daughters.

Dearest Friends,

As of right now, David is still on life support. I know that when he finally leaves us I will feel different. I do not think my grief will be more or less but I will feel different. I have heard that thought echoed from many of you so we wanted to update everyone on the current situation. Within the next hour, medical staff will change their directive from taking any and all measures to keep David alive to doing whatever they can to keep him comfortable while his own body does what it is going to do. If there are any changes we will update you. Peace and love to you all.

Sad when a father chooses this route, poor girls will live with that burden forever.

Personal demons, I guess themselves. So tragic for the people close that they leave behind. Depression is a big hurdle for some folks.

David was active in tree preservation and planting efforts in the PDX area. I never met him, just heard about him while I was out there... a real shame.
