For what they cost you would think they would have a sheet metal guard over them or something at least... I know the genie tow behinds use a guard there.

Too many to count over the last quarter century. But now i sub out my stumps. A mini has many jses while a grinder is dedicated, much more usefulI should have made that clearer. Did you grind one stump "thru house venture" or have you done many stumps like that in 18 years. Because one in 18 years IMO doesn't justify having narrow access equipment. If it were once a month then its worth it's weight in gold and a guy can justify the cost of owning narrow access gear. More in line with FJR's habitat of work.
I thought long and hard about getting a mini that was 36" wide but settled for one that's 42" wide and have not regretted the choice once thus far.
