I think I fubared the chain pretty bad. I had put a 1/8 to 1/4" groove in the brick. I also didnt put the new sharpening stone in for the new chain. Could have been mostly my fault.
I also tested a 16" powersharp system in 3/8LP 16" on my little poulan 260. There again I think I way over did it cutting the brick.
I was just impressed how they were cutting through the brick.

When I tested when first arrived without cutting a brick and just the old chain it sharpened right up. I just over did it on the new chains. JMO.

It is half of the cost of the stihl set up with batt, charger and saw. Looking at the stihl it almost looks like the same battery used.

I wouldn't fault the chain for not getting sharp after cutting a freaking BRICK.

Another thing is you can run any chain on the battery saw in 14" 3/8LP. You dont have to use the powersharp chain or sharpening system. I think WITHOUT cutting a brick landscapers and homeowners would be good to go. I just couldnt pass up testing on a brick. My bad. :)

I ran 2 other chains on the 16" bar on the poulan for testing and the powersharp chain seemed to cut the smoothest new.

Here is the stihl one that I heard is double the money with batt, charger and saw. It comes with 12".

These auto sharp systems have limits a tad lower than most would like.
For occasional users that is so far in to the mist they can't learn how to go get a chain sharpened, I think will be happy with it.

3 chain comparison Carlton semi chisel, powersharp, Stihl PS3 ( stuffed it beginning of 3 cut). All new factory sharp. Tested on a poulan 260 40cc or 42cc in spruce.

Neat thing all this oregon stuff was sent to me to demo for free. Oregon even gave a me a return shipping label to use to ship back everything.
Now I dont have to wonder anymore about battery saws and these chains and cost me nothing. :D
