Anyone in a band or play an instrument?

I can totally relate!

Nice trick with holding the single note...I'll have to try that sometime.

Well at least the Organ plays definite notes...try dealing with all the weird slides a fiddler might do...at times I have to just throw out the math and go with the "feeling"...the struggle is real.

I know I'd like quarter steps on a keyboard. I think it's really cool how the placement of a note in a sequence or chord relative to the notes before and after almost change the pitch of that note which of course doesn't change. Really weird. And that can fool me sometimes into thinking I'm looking for a quarter step when my perception is just off. That's another reason why it helped to memorize only the note pattern in a specific narrow pitch range, so in comparing those notes, any error in perception is filtered out.

Kind of like the grey tile optical illusions

It's not easy at all, but if you have the brain power to focus on only the tiles in question, isolate them focusing on their color and how they compare, you can overcome the shade changing effect from the other squares and see that they are the same color.

I'm a bit surprised how so far my searching has found no correct transcriptions of the organ part. Lots of people who think they have it right though, and lots more who agree. It's the people who search and think they've found their answer when it's wrong is the part I hate.

I'm at a tough spot now. Once again I found a part I was certain I knew, I thought I figured it out recently, but can't quite remember how. Looking at an old 70's performance video shows a different way than I thought, but the visual answer and sound confirmation seems just out of reach. The original recording, and the video game one I've so far found to be as accurate as possible are too distorted at that part. I almost thought it was a mistake in the video, but a keyboard shot of the second time that part is played made it seem deliberate, though seemingly illogical in a musical way. Unfortunately it seems old videos of live shows are rare, and the new shows have a very different intro.

I'm close though, like 90% there :)

Sorry... :|:

Two new pics

I moved the 10" tom-tom in a more conventional position and customized the guitar with a pearl pickguard, pearl-topped knobs, whammy bar, and Sperzyl locking tuners. I'm almost thinking I like the black pickguard better... hmmmm.

Love the stack of cymbals, love the red felts, love the kit. Good to see you're tinkering.

I just slowly added to it. I'd love to replace all the cymbals with some matched Zildjian K's, but that won't be happening any time soon.
