I've also held a high esteem for Petzl products, never had an issue with any of them. My sequoia harness is going on 5 years old and is still in good shape. I know this sounds crazy, but wrap the area a few times with electrical tape, seems to make the cuts easier and cleaner. I've always used heavy duty bolt cutters. jp:D

THanks guys, monkeypods are excellent training trees. That tree was actually on the small-medium size for those trees they can get very big. We pruned 3 about the same size on this job. Husa, that was lighting. I haven't seen any lightning protection in Hawaii although we lost a few trees last...
