Still snow here.
It sure makes for a clean dog.
The water line to the stable is frozen, so the mail order bride has to carry buckets down to the horses.
One time when having a broken ankle is actually a bonus.
Here I thought paying $250 for a pair of saw pants was bad.
Guess I'm simply not stylish.
As for the weather, we've had more winter these last 3 weeks than the last 5 years together.
I honestly thought that with things getting warmer and warmer ( Global warming) this would be a thing of the...
'Bout time you gave summer back to us on the Northern Hemisphere.
We are still having snow and freezing temps.
I walked the quarter mile up to the mailbox to get the newspaper an hour ago.
Just as I made it to the mail box, the dog slipped on the compacted snow of the driveway and went ass over...
An easy way is the plastic "mats".
We have those in the arena, where we train horses.
They get used for parking areas as well.

Wet as is the usual these days.
We were supposed to have a forvarder start on the ash we've been logging for the last month this week.
Way to muddy and soft ground for that.
I've no idea when they can start and we don't get paid till the wood is out and measured.
Wide enough to keep the surronding trees from shading the different varieties of bushes, that the doormice travel in.
Little fellers avoid the ground if they can.
Do I do some weird shit for money or what?
Still about 10 degrees above freezing.
I'm dragging a 500i around in the rain.
I miss the good old days, when we had winters.
The crew are up North, working on the bat project.
Since I can't climb they left me here to cut migration coridors for Dormice.
Right now I'm having lunch in the truck...
Dark!
It has been the most sunless december since 1959 so far.
Hope it changes.
With no light and Corona lock down the population is going into serious winter depression.
Doesn't bother me none, personally.
We are having a spell of cold, wet weather right now.
Night temps down to 50 degrees.
It is Juli and we have to use the wood stove in the evenings.
Not good.
Came out this morning and there was a bit of snow.
Scared me some, I have tomatoes, chilies and melons in the polytunnel.
Apparently the temperature hadn't been below freezing, everything was still alive.
Windy!
We got blown out of the woods today. High winds made logging impossible.
So we started a brush clearing job for the National park instead, that we had kept back for such a day.
Working along a fjord with the brush cutters, one really had to lean into the wind in order not to get blown...
Ain't doing no thimble for a turkey!
No idea how to measure, but once you've got it, send it to me.
Can't be any harder than some of the stuff I've turned to architect's drawings.
None of which looked liked a turkey, I might have to add.
