    Earth Anchors / Staking

Seems like a branch/ bar in the eye of the earth auger would be easier. The duckbill is cool, but not reuseable. The only downside that I see.

    New Chipper for TreeCareLA, too!

Dylan, http://www.itetrucks.com Might check what ITE has. They are next to Seattle. 5.5 hour drive from your neck of the woods. Vermeernorthwest.com has different makes of used stuff. Bandit in Sumner, WA is out of business. Our Bandit dealer is in Portland.

hammer handle rw up for grabs

Basal Tie options include a POW, a munter-mule, trunk wraps with half-hitches to tie off. Way easier to retrieve, plus ground lowering options, and less need to isolate. The rope running throught the canopy doesn't concern me at all, and actually gives benefits of redundancy and energy...

    Telescoping Pole Saw

Just ordered the 21' Silky. Three round poles together gets to be a long arcing PITA as I did off the ground the other day for a uprooted tree with no access for the bucket or other trees to climb off, which was hanging over the house and fence. We have definitely been known to put together 3 8'...

    Tree felling vids

Gord's Magic Cut or sniped snap cut. Releases without pushing. No saw snatching. Some directional control on vertical to leaning-to-the-lay sections. Easy peasy. A fast way to block down a spar. No fighting hinges, no pull ropes, no ropes trapped under logs. No pulling up the pull line, then...

    Burl Bandits

I hear that around here, for poaching 'music wood', figured bigleaf maple, mostly, that people have muffler hoses run in to buckets of water.

    Ropetek Hitch Hiker

Me either, ya right, however I think that there are going to be variables such as this that will prevent a one hitch/ hitch cord fits all scenario. I'd use different cords on Poison Hyvee, and just had to test "low and slow" as with any climbing system, SRT or DdRT.

2 more fatalities locally, work safe people!

Hinge is cut off on the one side, and looks like it there are saw marks from the tip of the bar behind the hinge on the remaining side, which seems thick. At that height, it looks like he might have been cutting at shoulder height or higher. Maybe limb locked with another tree and cutting lean...

    Stihl ms150 tc

Either the vibe number is a typo, or its rubber bushing mounted or hard body. I've never seen vibe specs before. Its a good thing.

Ready for the word about general availability. Has there been a delay from Yale or otherwise? Any idea on when? Many of us are chomping at the bit, but know you must be swamped.
