I asked for this book for my birthday and my parents were nice enough to get it for me, plus the poster titled 150 ft up and still 7ft in diameter. So far I am at about page 150 in the book and I am finding it totally enthralling. There are so many things in that book that I never thought about before and there are tons of terms that I have never heard before. I think this is a super read so far and I cant wait to finish it.

Oh yeah, I love all of the old school pics in there.:P

Heck yea, I've had mine since it first came out. Now, all you need is his other epic book.

Hahahahahaaa.

With a cast on his foot, no less. It would seem from the start that foot was gonna be trouble...

I have read it thoroughly a number of times, have whole parts practically memorized, and it is something that has really been an aid in the developing confidence area. I keep it at my shop and pick it up at times to thumb through again. I've loaned it to some folks that I work with, and though they can't much understand the language, I can tell that it has still made a strong impression on them that tree work is something that best requires study and discipline, not just a merely casual approach. It's a very valuable work.

Butch, I am kind of jealous that mine are not signed... oh well. I will be getting the other book for Christmas. I have wanted those books for quite a while so I finally asked, and received.

If you haven't ordered the other book yet, just get it directly from Jerry and ask him to sign it for you. He would probably do it for a small sum of compensation. ;)

If a guy had to get by with just 1 book to learn from, this is the one I would choose. The Working Climber dvd series make an excellent update to the book. I can't wait for 3 to come out. How is that coming Jerry? You got a eta yet?

The one and only time I spoke with Gerry, I asked him about a copy, he told me I didn't need it!!!!:? I think he was politely implying I was a "know-it-all"!:(

I will buy one IF I can have it autographed!:D

Jer's been working day and night (literally) on Series 3, Sean. He took a few days off and went to TCI in Pittsburg. I'll make sure he gets back to you on that. But I must say- It's gonna be the best of the series!!
