I usually have some music playing but will often turn it down if there's too many commercials or I don't like the song. Sometimes I forget to turn it back up for 30-45 minutes or longer.

Once the kids go to bed... I have some silence. Silence is good at times. I will eventually find something on Hulu later. Pretty much gray noise to sleep by..
Of late. LEXX has been on my nightly screen.

I have a wife and mother in law within 20 feet

When Ayden hits the rack, we relish the quiet. But if I want to concentrate on computer work etc I have been known to don earphones or allow whatever the wife is watching on tv drone on without paying attention to it, selective white noise as it were.
