Taking it the other way now.

I found a pen when we cleaned out an office at TMX. Nothing really special, just a nice silver pen, but I sure like it a lot.

Walking on the isolated shore on Hornby island in Brittish Columbia, the skull of a wolf that had washed up, all the teeth intact.

This is an agate I've been carrying with me ever since I found it back in about 1960 in the roots of a large uprooted tree in New Hope, Minnesota. I was about 6 years old at the time and on my way to swimming lessons. I was in a bathing suit, no pockets, so I hid it in the roots and worried about it the whole time I was at the lake. It is still one of my most favorite treasures.

It is about 2 inches in diameter.

I found a 1982 Mercedes Benz sedan in a Doug fir plantation I was checking out for potential pre-commercial thinning, in about 1990. Had no plates, was not turned in as stolen. Deputy Sheriff said I could have it as salvage.

I found a wife on the internet! :D

I've worked hard to earn (or build) most of my material possessions. But something I found a few years ago which has become quite valuable to me is this forum and the people who gather here.
Cheers to all my friends here.

Dave, the pups are adorable. :)

gee no bars here - maybe under a rock.

I found a piece of coral - broken on a beach in florida, it has a natural hole in it and I wear it about my neck on a cord. Reminds me of my sister. also found information about the man on my POW bracklet - worn since 1970.

interesting things we all seek and find

I was introduced to Katy in a bar... But I was running both it and the restaurant at the time...
Best find of my life I can truthfully say... Looked high and low for a long time!

Oddly enough I met my wife chasing her best freind! Back in the day,we would "drag" Douglas street on the weekends. There wasn't anything resembling a race until the wee hours of the morning because it was so crowded. But lots of kids looking for a hookup.
I thought this gal was the cats meow I tell ya! Funny and just as pretty as can be.
I was to "boring" for her! Yeah, figure that one out:lol: So she "dumped" me on her freind to get rid of me. Well come to find out, she had a MAJOR weight problem and I got to know her during a "thin" time. My wife has been happy to explain all of this to me:lol: And she is a bit of a physco. I think she did me a huge favor!

we are in the heart of the bible belt - there are only eattery's that server beer and wine. no mixed drinks
no bar stools and juke box in the corner. - for that I would have to drive about 60 miles or more. the mountains are a very different place
