My neighborhood just doesn't have any trick-or-treaters. It's not just me, I'm watching out the window and the nice elderly folks across the street haven't had any tonight either.

We go into town for trick or treat. All the shops have candy for the kids and some of the neighborhoods are set up also.. We are getting ready to go now and get back before too dark and cold..
Happy halloween ya'll.

I've had about a dozen so far. Hope my wife gets home soon so she can take over..this is a real PITA....

I'm gonna shut it down around 9, I don't see a need to give teenagers without costumes any candy:?

nobody yet (or the last 6 years), box of candy at the ready, Bub is out with his momma at the mall, cleaning up, and its spitting rain out, like usual for the end of October around here.

I wondered when you you would weigh in Paulie. What is bub disguised as?

Scotty, giving beer and smokes to kids will get you thrown in jail.;)

I was gonna take pics of all the hoodlums without costumes to share with the cops, then my wife explained that taking pics of trick-or-treaters would prolly get ME thrown in jail......:|:

ha! I just got home OTG, took me 2 minutes to order greek for supper, now on the email etc :)

I had 8 kids, two of wich were the neighbors.

My kids went out with the mrs. and came home loaded. Stuck to the neighborhood.

My wife is a school teacher and wore a witches costume to school today. walked up behind a lady holding her baby and the baby started wailing!!

Around here they have "trick or trunk". You park your car in the school parking lot and give kids candy out of the back of your trunk. What happen to the good ol'days? We used to walk our asses off for candy, lazy ass kids just walk 3 feet for their next fix.

We'd use pillow cases as trick-or-treat bags. We'd come home with them almost full! No wonder my teeth are so bad!!

No trick-or-treaters here. Good thing, they might fall over the electric fence into the dogs! :O

Well the boys had fun with trick or treat and were very polite thanking people for the candy. Town was pretty packed and its all about walking up and down hills for the candy like "the ol days".
Store fronts were all open passing out candy and hot chocolate etc. Did not take the boys into the neighborhood two blocks up from the main as the lil ones got tired out. The teenager went on his own with a friend(s) and hit the neighborhoods (two more streets). They came back with about 10 plus pounds of candy. The lil ones made out. All my business friends were generous ;).
Levi really got into it this year being almost 3. Really had a great time and man I am pooped... LOL

zero looters here. I sent bub to the neighbors door after I saw their little pumpkin and sign "knock for treats". we have new neighbors, the next door suite is a rental, a couple of late teenage girls in somewhat less than modest oufits came to the door, good thing I asked the wife to take bub over there, I just happened by a the last minute to say hi. :shifty:

I can see the "holiday" eventually disappearing. Good riddance.

It isn't disappearing, Butch.

It has simply moved to Denmark. Apparently the big toy chain stores like Toys're us
decided it would be good for sales to introduce an american holiday here.
So now we have people putting carved pumpkins at their houses ( good deal for the pumpkin growers) and kids dressing up for trick or treating.

Before you know it, they'll all be butchering turkeys and celebrating thanksgiving without knowing shit about, what they are giving thanks for!

Frigging consumerism!

Living in the sticks, we dont see trick or treaters here, too far for the fat kids to walk for sweets. Never understood why its been made into such a big deal, when we were kids we were lucky if we had a pumpkin to carve. its only since the shops latched onto it as a money-making scam to raise funds between regular holidays, and it now tends to span over a whole weeks, running into Guy Fawkes celebrations, which then run over a couple of weekends.
Just heard on the radio that a trick or treater was shot dead in South Carolina on the doorstep of a house, wtf???
