A Craigslist ad here a while back for “furniture grade walnut lumber”. Scroll down to the pictures and there it is. Right between two houses that are twenty feet apart, garage ten foot behind it and a fence up against it. “Buyer must remove brush and stump”. I was busy or I would’ve stopped by the place just to make them think they had a sucker on the hook.

I had a call 20 years back from a guy who had a pile of moldering old conifer clippings at the bottom of a steep garden.

He said I could take it free for the village November the 5th bonfire.

Was quite miffed when I refused, muttering something about ?you try and do something for the community.......? etc.
