I got to handle the Akimbo at a Northern CA TreeStuff Party. Very simple and easy to adjust to suit a particular rope or climbers style. This is gonna big hit for its short learning curve too.

No, the new RR looks cool and it should be a big improvement on the original but it is not an Akimbo.
